On August 2, in the first batch of summer trials, the Oyx Research Institute test team sent a total of 17 test vehicles to perform power system calibration tests and some adaptability tests. The test sites included Tianshui, Hami, Turpan, Dunhuang, Qilian , Guangyuan and other high-temperature plateau regions.

In this summer test, the calibration of the engine is a main test content. With the increasing demands on the performance and economy of automobiles, EMS (Engine Management System, Engine Management System) centered on ECU (Electronic Control Unit) has become an important part of the engine. Calibration is to set ECU parameters in various extreme environments to make the engine reach the best working state.

Moreover, due to the vast territory of my country, which spans different regions and different climate environments, it also puts forward more stringent demands on the engine management system of automobile manufacturers. At present, China's EMS is very demanding in the world automotive market: the altitude, the highest/lowest temperature in the desert, the hot and humid environment, and the cold and wet environment are among the highest in the world. Therefore, cars developed for the domestic market must adapt to a wider climate environment, which is a difficult task for the development of engines.

After a systematic bench test, it will enter the road test link, the "three high" test is the main content. Through various road environment tests such as high temperature, high cold and plateau, the matched various performances are fully verified. Set appropriate parameter values ​​for the ECU to ensure that the engine and the vehicle can achieve the established safety, environmental protection and driving comfort and other strict indicators under various circumstances.

The basic requirement of the summer calibration test is that the ambient temperature is higher than 35°C. At the same time, the vehicles participating in the test must be consistent in batch production and in good condition. Each variant sub-project guarantees at least two test samples to ensure the reliability and consistency of the final test data. At the same time, the vehicles participating in the calibration are equipped with professional collectors to monitor all aspects of each component.
